Interview with a senior camera planner from Panasonic Corporation

I found this interview is pretty interesting and provides some 'answers' and mainly foresight how the Panasonic Corp is planning on the M4/3 system in the near future. I hope that I am not just wishful thinking that Panasonic will be more focused on marketing more lenses.

Four-third forum in China

http://www.four-thirds.cn/forum/thread-127032-2-1.html
Hi all. I just found this very interseting site about the 4/3 system; and this author test 4 different Macro lenes and post it here. Unfortunely the text is Chinese, but I think you can use the Google translator program to do the job.

The First Photo Trip with the M 4/3 ONLY

I will be doing a one week tour of Cuba with two Panasonic bodies (G1/GH1) and my very under-utilized Olympus 1030SW. I will be using three lenses on this trip: Panasonic 14-140, 20/1.7, and a Contax G 45/2 with adapter. I guess that the 14-140 will be used for over 70-80%, the 20/1.7 is pretty well for indoor and street photography, while the Contax 45/2 will see very limited use for stage performance and morning/evening low light shots. No heavy Canon gears for this trip.

Learning from Tony Wong's painful experience, I will not be doing any diving with my 1030SW unprotected. I have borrowed Victor's 'diving bag' for this trip. But I may just use it as a 'dry bag' for my 1030SW. We will see. No, my Panasonic bodies are NOT going in the water, fresh or salty. I am not stupid!!

Link to my video

Most of the video clips were taken with my new Panasonic GH1. I like the GH1 video quality a lot and will continue to learn how to incorporate the video in my portfolio and travel journal.

My Current M43 system

So far, I have acquired the Panasonic G1 & GH1 camera body, 14-45, 14-140, 20f1.7 lenses. Also, with the adapters I have now, I can use my Leica M & R lenses, Contax C/Y, Contax G, Canon EF & even Hasselblad lenses. I really like the Minolta M-Rokkor 45/2 lens which is tiny, light weight and provides good IQ.

In 2002, I owned a Minolta Dimage 7 camera which gave me so much fun in photography without the burden of being big and heavy. It behaves like a SLR and has EVF, 10X zoom (not too bad), video and the best of all, a histogram to review before pressing the shutter !! It is  still an amazing camera especially considered it is a 8 year old camera. My current M43 system reminds me a lot of my old favorite Dimage 7 and also frees me from the big and heavy Canon camera gears.
